We are safe
We are kind
We are active learners
In 2020, PSPC implemented the Positive Behaviour for Learning framework.
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school approach to creating a safe and supportive environment that has a strong evidence-base and is used in many Queensland state schools.
Our three rules: we are safe, we are kind and we are active learners will be taught explicitly to all of our students and will apply in all areas of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
To ensure students remember our expectations while in the playground, signage will be visible and referred to by staff. Within the classroom, the behaviour expectations matrix, and the focus behaviour expectation for the week will be located in a prominent position for students and staff.
We have many rewards for students when they have been displaying positive behaviour within our school. These include step ups, rewards day, student of the week awards, PBL focus behaviour awards, happy hour communication from the principal and class rewards.
Updates from the PBL committee will be included in the school newsletter.
